chocolate dripping down the page

A Chocolaholic from the start

My mother used to tell me that chocolate was my second word. In fact, growing up, one of my favorite things was to stand at the stove and help make the homemade chocolate pudding, stirring the dark, decadent goodness until it was so thick it clung to a spoon.

Over the years, I learned more about my favorite food and subject, calling it the fifth food group and often preferring homemade over anything storebought.

Until I tried bean-to-bar single origin craft chocolate. I was hooked.

I further refined my purchases when I discovered slavery in chocolate, restricting myself to purchasing fairtrade and direct trade dark, delicious happiness.

In my research, I learn about what goes into chocolate, what’s important to serious chocolate connoisseurs, and why chocolate matters more than ever in our changing world.
